This memorial is for all children who have died, especially those who died before their birth—for any reason—and for their parents, siblings, friends, and all people of goodwill. It is not a protest, but a memorial for those who have never had the chance to grieve, for those who grieve alone, for those in need of healing and forgiveness, and for anyone who wishes to be united in solidarity with them.
The Memorial will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 7:00 pm. Beginning at Bishop White Seminary, 429 E. Sharp Ave., the memorial includes a candlelight procession through Gonzaga University’s campus and a multilingual rosary and Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament at St. Aloysius Church, 330 E. Boone Ave. The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, Most Rev. Thomas A Daly will be the presider for the memorial service.
